Getting Your License Back
If your Illinois driver's license has been revoked due to a DUI, you'll need to go through the Secretary of State's administrative hearing process to get it back. A critical part of that process is having a professional substance abuse evaluation conducted by a licensed provider.
That's where we come in. With 15 years of experience providing evaluations for Secretary of State hearings, we know exactly what documentation is required and how to present it properly.

Formal vs. Informal Hearings
Informal Hearings
First-time DUI offenders may qualify for an informal hearing, which is a paper review β no in-person appearance required. You submit your documentation packet and the Secretary of State reviews it. We provide the evaluation and documentation you need for your packet.
Formal Hearings
If you've had multiple DUI offenses or your license has been revoked, you'll likely need a formal hearing. This involves an in-person or virtual hearing with testimony. We provide the evaluation and all documentation needed to support your case.
The Hearing Process
The Secretary of State needs to see that you've addressed the issues that led to your DUI and that you're a responsible candidate for license reinstatement. Here's what that typically involves:
- Get your driving record β A court-purpose driving abstract from the Secretary of State
- Complete a professional evaluation β From a licensed DBHR provider (that's us)
- Complete any required treatment β Based on your evaluation results
- Gather support documentation β Support system letters, proof of sobriety, etc.
- Submit your packet or attend your hearing β With all documentation in order
We guide you through the evaluation and documentation steps so you know exactly what you need and can approach your hearing with confidence.
